Wilderness Retreats for 2025

Our Wilderness Retreat/s for 2024 were a whopping success! We are so excited to launch our Retreat/s for Wilderness 2025 already! 

Our venue, SWARTVLEI GUEST FARM, is absolutely breathtaking and we cannot wait to return to this beautiful spot on the Western Cape.  The scrap room is wonderful to create in!  The “cherry on the cake” is the delicious food that will be served all weekend! 

This is definitely a NOT TO BE MISSED DESTINATION RETREAT … so make sure to clear your diary for one of these Retreats!!  Once again we have two dates to choose from … 21-23 March or 28-30 March (or both if you want)!

My co-host/co-teacher for this event is none other than Karin Botha (who is a true master of mixed media and interactive layouts) who will teach at both Retreats!  Karin is super talented and we are going to be “wowed” by her creativity!  Karin and I make an awesome teaching team!  So be prepared to scrap up a storm! 

As you all know we at Scrapbook and Things love adventures … so there will definitely be a few “outings” planned for each weekend to stretch your legs & explore the surrounds! 

Please note that the accommodation at the venue is for “sharing” only.  All “single” supplements will be staying at another venue down further the road from our venue! 

Space is EXTREMELY limited so please make sure to book your spot asap!!! A non-refundable deposit of R750-00 secures your spot/kit.  Our EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT, if paid in full, by the end of October 2024 keeps the Retreat price the same as this year!  Or you can pay monthly over the next 11 months at the 2025 price (the outstanding balance is to be paid in full by the end of February).  

For those delegates that live close to the venue – we have a “day visitor” package so you can join us for the entire time too.  The day package includes lunch on the Saturday, brunch on the Sunday, your spot in the conference room, coffee station and loads of extra spoils too.  

Pricing for the Wilderness Retreats:

Early Bird Price:  R4350 sharing / R4650 single (to be paid in full by end of October 2024)

2025 Retreat Price:  R4550 sharing / R4850 single (to be paid in full by end of February 2025)

Day Visitor Price:  R2950 (to be paid in full by February 2025)

Kit Only Price:  R2200 (to be paid in full by February 2025)

{StayCation} Retreat – June 2024

We are excited to launch our upcoming {StayCation Retreat}! What is that you might ask? It’s a Retreat where you stay at your own home … but scrapbook at mine! Just the perfect way to still kind of get away!

We are doing this Retreat on the 8th & 9th June. There will be two action packed days filled with loads and loads of scrapbooking, delicious food and gifts!

To attend for the two days the cost is R1750. If you are wanting the kit only the cost is R1250. Please note that a R750 deposit is required to secure your booking. Banking details are attached to the booking response form.

Online Class Review

Thanks to Wendy Hardy for the awesome review on our Scrapbook and Things Online classes:

“I am so excited to start our Travel 2 Gether online class in a few weeks’ time. I have been hauling out all my travel stash in preparation. Who would have thought that what started as an initiative to keep us all sane during COVID would end up being such a successful way to meet and stay in touch with friends from all over the world? I do enjoy my weekly fix and although a cannot say that I scrap each week, just catching up with everyone, albeit briefly, is such a joy. And I love knowing that I have pages that are planned and ready to scrap when I have a gap (it makes those PHD days such a breeze) and better yet, I am getting to use up all those paper packs and collectibles I have at home. Looking forward to hearing what everyone got up to over the December holidays and catching up with my online friends again!”

I am so grateful to technology! It has allowed us to be meet up with people from all areas of the country and globe … doing what we love … scrapbooking, laughing and spending valuable time together!
